My work is often autobiographical and describes relationships and life experiences, expressing thoughts, concerns and feelings. The subject matter is intensely personal and symbols and metaphors are used to suggest meaning that may be interpreted by the viewer.
Narratives often reflect my obsession for the sea and time spent living in a beach hut on the Gower peninsular.
I frequently employ a contrast of hand and digital embroidery with digital printing. The manipulation and assembling of fabrics providing complex tensions between cloth and stitch.
