I am a artist designer/maker of textiles I create 'one off' pieces that can be worn as wraps or art pieces for the interior. Through continual creativity, my designs are also applied to scarves, throws and cushions with special consideration to warmth, luxury and comfort.
I have an affinity to our natural environment that suggests a calm and tranquil inspiration. I have always identified with the gifts of nature, choosing to use only plant dyes and natural fibres. My technique and style develop a Nuno-felt process.
Touch is probably the most important aspect of my work - contact with materials, the exploration of fibres. The delicate, fragile nature of my work arises from personal experience, an awareness and presence of my own spiritual essence.
