For many years my passion has been fashion and textiles, after pursuing my interests in fashion and historical costume I realised that it was the actual textiles, not the construction of the garments, which fascinated me. I graduated in July 2001 with a BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Textile Practice from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff.
My current collection combines my love of textiles and animals, dogs in particular, in the design of cushions and bags. The animal designs are monochromatic and machine embroidered onto 'faux' suede to give them a lovely tactile quality. The bags are made from a range of fabrics such as taffeta for evening bags, 'faux' suede, fleece, linen, vinyl and canvas for the standard range of bags. I have expanded the collection to include hats, scarves and wall pieces. I have recently added a 'Floral Collection' and a 'Seaside Collection' theme using coastal images stitched onto crisp cotton which also includes abstract patterns in black and white.
