Much of my recent workcombines and interweaves the motifs of Welsh quilts with the colours of Amish quilts, which echo the colours of the Welsh landscape. Welsh references have been steadily creeping into my work: partly in tribute to my Welsh grandmother who taught me to sew and crochet but also as a search for my own identity.
