Since I was small I have always loved playing with beads. Even as a very young child I used to arrange them on a surface, without threading them, making patterns with colour.
Now I still enjoy working with colour and combining materials. When I find a composition of materials which I like I make pieces in several colour ranges but no piece is every repeated.
At the moment I am making necklaces and I enjoy working to a commission. It is the creative aspect of the work which I find the most interesting; each piece of work is a very personal creation. I have chosen the name "gingembre" - ginger, as my working name as it is a plant which I love. It represents the exotic, it has an extraordinary flower, its scent is exquisite, it suggests the wealth of colour, form and materials which I like to use in my work.
